**Warning:** This is where dealers can really take advantage of you. It's usually not a great deal to trade in an RV to a dealership. They use values from NADA Guides, but typically offer less than your RV is worth.

#### What we recommend

It's highly recommended to sell your RV privately if you can. You'll likely get more money for it, and you can use that money as a down payment on your new RV.
