## Overview

The Salem 27REIS flips the typical travel trailer layout by pushing the living space to the rear, which opens things up considerably and gives the interior a more relaxed, lounge-friendly feel. Forest River has packed a lot of floor plan appeal into the Salem line at a competitive price point, and owners who love the 27REIS tend to cite exactly that. It's worth knowing that the Salem line carries a reputation for inconsistent build quality, with some owners reporting issues like slide-out problems and fit-and-finish concerns, so a thorough pre-purchase inspection is a smart move. That said, for buyers prioritizing layout and value, the rear-living configuration of the Salem 27REIS is genuinely distinctive in its class.
