The heart of the 45 BP is a Cummins L9 pushing 450 horsepower and 1,250 lb-ft of torque through an Allison 3000 MH 6-speed transmission, a combination that makes highway miles genuinely relaxed rather than merely manageable. Tiffin pairs that powertrain with ZF independent front suspension, Reyco Granning air ride in the rear, and custom-tuned Koni shocks, which goes a long way toward explaining why owners so often call the ride "smooth" and the handling confidence-inspiring. Inside, the coach runs on Spyder multiplex controls with touchscreens at the dash, passenger console, entryway, and exterior, plus an Aqua-Hot 450D hydronic system that keeps the floor warm and the water hot without the cold-start wait of a conventional furnace. Safety tech is bus-grade too, with collision mitigation, Mobileye lane departure warning, adaptive cruise, and a full air brake system with a three-stage compression brake all standard.
