The Chinook Maverick DS is built around a Ford Transit 350HD with all-wheel drive and a 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost engine, which means it handles mountain passes and gravel roads with confidence most Class B rigs can't match. The off-grid credentials are genuinely impressive: 400 watts of Merlin solar, a Xantrex 3000-watt inverter, 800 amp-hours of AGM house batteries, and the Timberline hydronic heating system that handles both cabin warmth and on-demand hot water in one efficient unit. Inside, the Chinook Maverick DS punches above its class with solid surface countertops, a porcelain toilet, double-pane openable windows, and an induction cooktop that can be pulled out for exterior cooking. The DS designation offers two distinct layout takes, the Maverick SS with a powered sofa and booth dinette or the Maverick EB with a transformable sofa/dinette, both sleeping two in a thoughtfully finished interior available in four color palettes.
