The Jayco Melbourne 28F is built around real-road comfort, with the JRide package bringing Bilstein shocks, a stabilizer bar, Hellwig helper springs, and rubber isolation body mounts to the chassis before you even think about the living space. Inside, the rear Queen bed slide opens things up considerably, and the tankless water heater, convection microwave with three-burner cooktop, and 8 cu. ft. double-door refrigerator give the kitchen genuine usability. The Onan 4,000-watt MicroQuiet generator with auto-changeover, 15,000-BTU A/C with heat pump, and heated holding tanks mean the Melbourne 28F handles shoulder-season camping without much compromise. TuffShell vacuum-bonded laminated construction and a one-piece fiberglass roof round out a build that owners frequently describe as feeling solid on the road.
