The 297RLDS puts the living space at the rear of the trailer, giving it a surprisingly open, residential feel that owners consistently praise as one of the better "couple's camper" layouts in the half-ton towable class. Inside, the woodwork stands out. Maple hardwood cabinet doors with mortise and tenon construction, full-extension roller bearing drawers, and sealed countertops give it a noticeably more finished look than similarly priced competitors. The master suite gets two full-length mirrored closets, over-bed cabinets with integrated reading lights, and a wooden privacy slider door instead of the curtain you'd find in many rigs at this weight. Outside, the Coleman 10K BTU grill station and lighted pass-through storage make the campsite setup genuinely functional, and the nitrogen-filled radial tires on premium aluminum rims keep the exterior looking sharp. Though many owners opt to upgrade the stock rubber before their first long haul.
