What makes the Roo 17 stand out in the expandable category is how much it manages to fit into a 23-foot footprint, a full bath with a radius glass door shower and skylight, a 3-burner gas range with glass cover, and a mounted 24" LCD TV, all without demanding a heavy-duty tow vehicle. The tent-end beds come with individual fan/light combos and a cable system that eliminates the old-school pole setup, making expansion and teardown noticeably less of a chore. Inside, screwed-and-glued cabinetry with full-extension metal drawer guides and a Water-Pur filtration system reflect more care than you'd expect at this size. Opt for the Standard Package G and you pick up a power awning with LED lighting, thermopane windows, and electronically controlled heated holding tanks, a meaningful upgrade for shoulder-season camping.
