The 17MDS is one of those rigs that earns its "Super Lite" name without cutting corners where it counts. The Tuff Shell vacuum-bonded laminated construction with welded aluminum frames is genuinely robust for a sub-5,300-lb trailer. Nitrogen-filled off-road radials and a rubber torsion axle with adjustable ground clearance give it real capability on rougher roads, and the 200-watt solar panel with 30-amp controller comes standard, not as an afterthought. Inside, the kitchen is better-equipped than you'd expect at this size, with a convection microwave, 12V refrigerator, recessed 2-burner range with a flush glass cover, and an exterior quick-connect port for the optional griddle. The full bath has a skylight and roof vent, and the 80" bed, roller blackout shades, and JBL Bluetooth stereo make the living space feel finished rather than utilitarian.
