The 2026 Grand Design Imagine 2470BH is one of the most popular family bunkhouse travel trailers in the mid-size range, designed to balance sleeping capacity, towability, and residential-style comfort. At approximately 29 feet in length with a single slide-out, it delivers a compact footprint that’s still large enough to comfortably sleep up to 8 people, making it a strong choice for families or couples who want occasional guest space without moving into a larger RV.

Inside, the 2470BH features a highly efficient and family-friendly layout. The rear of the coach is dedicated to double-over-double bunk beds, giving kids or guests their own spacious sleeping area. In the main living zone, a U-shaped dinette slide-out creates a roomy central gathering space for meals, games, or relaxing indoors. Large windows and an open floorplan help the interior feel bright and larger than its footprint suggests, while Grand Design’s residential-style finishes elevate the overall comfort.

The kitchen is designed for real-world camping use and extended stays, featuring a full appliance package with a 3-burner cooktop, oven, microwave, and a 10 cu. ft. refrigerator. The layout is efficient, with solid-surface-style countertops, deep storage cabinets, and a functional prep space that supports family cooking on the road.

At the front, the private queen bedroom provides separation from the bunk area and main living space, offering a comfortable retreat with wardrobe storage and overhead cabinetry. The centrally located bathroom includes a walk-in shower (30"" x 36""), toilet, and vanity with storage, positioned for easy access from both sleeping zones.

Built with Grand Design’s focus on durability and insulation, the 2470BH includes heated and enclosed underbelly protection, laminated construction, and upgraded insulation ratings, helping extend camping seasons. Exterior features such as a power awning with LED lighting, pass-through storage, and solar prep make it well-suited for both campground hookups and light off-grid use.
