The new 2026 Forest River Westbrook 27CC bunkhouse travel trailer gives families separate sleeping spaces, a large living-area slide, and a booth dinette for meals or rainy-day games. This brand-new unit is physically unboxed, inspected, and sitting on our lot at Campers Inn RV of Ocala, Florida, ready for an in-person walkthrough. The private front master bedroom features a Camp-King mattress in a North-to-South walkaround layout, with the head toward the front cap and access along both sides, while rear double-size bunks give kids or guests their own sleeping area. After exploring the Ocala National Forest or visiting Silver Springs, the sofa and expanded living space give everyone somewhere to settle in.
Weight & Towing Compatibility:
Plan your tow vehicle around the 7,805-pound GVWR, rather than dry weight alone. Forest River publishes a 6,413-pound unloaded weight and 805-pound hitch weight for the floorplan; our Ocala listing shows 6,480 pounds dry, so the actual trailer’s factory weight label should guide your purchase. A properly equipped half-ton pickup may qualify, but passengers, cargo, hitch equipment, and loaded tongue weight can consume its available payload quickly. A three-quarter-ton truck is worth considering for additional payload capacity; any pickup or SUV must meet its specific towing, payload, receiver, axle, and combined-weight limits.

Size & Maneuverability:
At 31 feet 7 inches overall, the Westbrook 27CC provides useful family space, but campsite selection deserves some planning. Check the individual site’s length, approach, and clearance for the slide before booking a state park stay. Tight turns and wooded back-in sites require room for the truck and trailer to straighten out; use a spotter when backing and leave space to walk around the setup.
Storage & Practical Amenities:
The hidden pantry keeps groceries organized, while overhead kitchen cabinets, a pots-and-pans drawer, under-dinette storage, and bedroom closets give everyday belongings a place. Outside, the drop-frame mega pass-through compartment provides room for bulky camping gear. A 10.6-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator, three-burner cooktop, air fryer microwave, tankless water heater, and black-tank flush handle practical campground needs. Bedroom USB-C charging adds everyday convenience.
Build Quality & Materials:
The 27CC uses a metal exterior, with a high-impact aluminum rock guard protecting the lower front area. Factory-listed construction includes a one-piece PVC roof membrane, fully walkable roof, and enclosed, heated underbelly. Those are useful features for roof maintenance and protection beneath the trailer, though regular seal inspections and appropriate winterization remain part of ownership. Inside, thermofoil countertops and Congoleum flooring provide practical surfaces for everyday camping cleanup.
Come walk through the bedroom, check the bunk space, and see whether your camping gear fits the storage before you decide. Call 352-622-7733 to confirm availability and schedule your visit.
