The Fleetwood Expedition 40X is built around full-time livability, pairing a 19 cu. ft. residential refrigerator (backed by two additional batteries and a 2,800-watt inverter) with a Sony 5.1 home theater system and a 50" LED HDTV in a living room finished with wall-to-wall porcelain flooring and wall sconces. The kitchen holds its own too, with solid-surface countertops, a mosaic glass tile backsplash, a GE convection microwave, and a single-handle pullout-sprayer faucet. On the road, the Expedition 40X earns real praise from owners for its diesel-pusher drivability and a cockpit that takes it seriously: dual dash monitors, a touchscreen GPS radio, sideview cameras integrated into the heated chrome mirrors, and a power driver's seat with a reclining passenger chair. Dual furnaces, dedicated full-length metallic A/C ducting, and a bedroom heat pump mean climate comfort front to back in almost any season.
