The 177BH packs a surprising amount of functionality into a lightweight bunkhouse layout. The dedicated bunk area sleeps the kids while the full bath, 2-burner gas cooktop, microwave, and tankless water heater cover the everyday basics without fuss. At around 21 feet and under 3,000 lbs, it tows easily behind most half-ton trucks, which is one of its strongest selling points. Gulf Stream includes a power awning and multiple USB ports as standard, and the optional Bluetooth radio with interior and exterior speakers is worth adding if you plan to spend time outside. As an entry-level Ameri-Lite build, fit and finish are in line with the price point. The value is in the tow-friendly size and a layout that actually works.

If you’re looking for a lightweight travel trailer that makes camping simple, affordable, and easy to tow, this 2023 Gulf Stream Ameri-Lite Super Lite 177BH is exactly the kind of setup that gets people out enjoying weekends faster. At just over 20 feet long and around 2,810 lbs dry, it’s a great match for smaller SUVs and half-ton tow vehicles while still giving you the space a family actually needs on the road.
Inside, the layout is straightforward and practical. You’ve got bunk beds in the rear that are perfect for kids or guests, giving them their own space without taking over the main living area. Up front, the main sleeping area offers a comfortable spot to unwind after a long day outdoors, while the booth dinette easily converts for additional sleeping space when needed. With room for up to five, it’s a smart fit for young families or couples who like to bring friends along.
The kitchen keeps things simple with a two-burner cooktop, microwave, and electric refrigerator, so you can handle meals without feeling like you’re roughing it. The rear bathroom includes a private toilet and shower, which makes longer stays at the campground a lot more comfortable—no late-night trips to the bathhouse required.
Outside, the power awning creates an easy shaded hangout space where you can relax, grill, or just enjoy the campsite after a day of exploring North Georgia. The lightweight build and single-axle design also make it easier to maneuver into tight sites or storage areas.
