The Koala Bear BASE is the kind of trailer that surprises people. Owners consistently note that five feet of headroom and smart use of space make it feel roomier than its compact footprint suggests. Small enough to park in a single-car garage and light enough for smaller SUVs, it's built on a Dexter heavy-duty axle and wrapped in a double-insulated roof with foam board and a radiant barrier, so the construction is more serious than the price tag implies. Birch cabinetry and a MaxxAir fan come standard, and the "BASE" configuration is deliberately bare-bones, a solid starting point that owners have been happy to customize. The optional folding Queen Bed, roof rack and awning package, and A-frame trailer box let you build it out exactly as much (or as little) as you want.
