The Coachmen Cross Trail Xtreme EV 21XG is built around two big ideas: genuine off-road capability and serious off-grid power. The Xtreme package delivers a Van Compass 2" suspension lift, Falcon Racing shocks, all-terrain tires on blackout aluminum rims, and a front bumper brush guard with LED lights, all riding on a Ford Transit AWD chassis with dual 250-amp alternators. Backing that up is a Renogy-powered hybrid electrical system with a standard 400Ah lithium battery bank, a 3,000W inverter, and gen prep, with an upgrade path to 800Ah for longer boondocking stretches. Owners tend to appreciate the compact layout, which fits a dry bath and a motorized bed into a maneuverable footprint, and the AWD chassis earns consistent praise for drivability on varied terrain.
