The bunk over cab opens up sleeping for five without stretching the footprint past 25 feet, a neat trick for a full-bath Class C. Forest River packs a lot of hardware in here: 190-watt roof solar, a 15,000 BTU heat pump for both cooling and shoulder-season heat, a 4.0 KW generator, and a 10.7 cu ft 12V refrigerator that doesn't draw down your batteries the way compressor fridges on shore power can. Owners of the 24DS family consistently mention how well the coach drives and handles in traffic, with real-world fuel economy landing around 13–14 mpg. The convection microwave, wireless charging pad, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto touchscreen round out a feature list that punches above its price class.
