The Detroit DD13 pushing 525 horsepower and 1,850 lb-ft of torque through a DT12 transmission means the 38EMB handles mountain grades and 20,000 lbs of tow load without breaking a sweat, and owners report around 8.3 mpg for a rig this capable. Inside, the mid-bunk layout wraps the living space in solid maple cabinetry, 12"x24" porcelain tile, and a French door stainless refrigerator with ice maker, while Aqua-Hot hydronic heat keeps things comfortable whether you're plugged in or not. The electrical system is genuinely off-grid-ready out of the box: 600Ah of lithium, 600W of solar, a 3,000W inverter, and standard Starlink with mobility mount. The optional cabover bunk cap bumps sleeping capacity further, and a stacked washer/dryer can be added for true long-term living capability.
