What stands out immediately about the 34DS is how much usable space Forest River managed to squeeze into a gas Class A. Dual slides, a King bed, a full rear bath plus a half bath mid-coach, and a genuine outdoor entertainment center with a 12V TV and marine-grade speakers. The Ford F53 chassis with the 7.3L V8 and TorqueShift 6-speed is a proven workhorse, and owners consistently mention how composed it feels on the highway. Inside, the 40" smart TV is cleverly tucked with a hidden pantry area behind it, the theatre seating uses five-year ultra leather, and the cockpit gets a Sony 10.1" dash radio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The bunk over cab adds sleeping flexibility, and with 184 cubic feet of exterior storage plus under-bed space, actually loading everything you need for a longer trip is realistic.
