Big adventures do not require a massive camper. The New 2026 Forest River RV Rockwood Hard Side Series A123RG combines the easy towing and quick setup of a folding camper with the added protection and comfort of solid walls. Compact, lightweight, and surprisingly well equipped, this A-frame camper is perfect for couples, solo explorers, and small families ready to spend more time outdoors.

With an unloaded weight of approximately 2,193 pounds and a closed length of just over 16 feet, the Rockwood A123RG can be an approachable towing option for many properly equipped vehicles. Its low-profile travel position helps reduce wind resistance and makes storage more convenient than with many traditional travel trailers. Once you reach the campsite, the clever A-frame roof raises quickly, so you can spend less time setting up and more time enjoying your destination.

Inside, the gaucho bed serves as a comfortable place to sit, read, or relax during the day before converting into sleeping accommodations at night. A multi-use table creates a convenient spot for meals, games, remote work, or planning the next day’s activities. The added dormer increases headroom and brings more natural light into the camper, creating a surprisingly open atmosphere.

The kitchenette includes a two-burner cooktop, 12V refrigerator, sink, cabinetry, and convenient preparation space. You can enjoy fresh meals and cold drinks without relying entirely on campground facilities. A built-in toilet adds welcome convenience, especially during overnight stops or late-night trips.

Climate control makes the A123RG more comfortable in changing weather. An under-bed air conditioner helps cool the interior during warm summer trips, while the 20,000 BTU furnace keeps the camper comfortable when temperatures drop. Roof-mounted solar power helps maintain the battery and support essential systems while camping away from hookups.

Outside, generous storage gives you room for chairs, cookware, and outdoor equipment. A fiberglass-laminated roof, two-tone fiberglass exterior, diamond-plate front protection, and Dexter Torflex axle contribute to long-term durability and dependable towing.
