The Coachmen Apex 187RB pulls off something that's harder than it looks: a dedicated rear bedroom with a Queen bed, a full bath, and a functional living space in a trailer light enough for a half-ton truck or capable SUV. Owners consistently single out the rear bath layout as genuinely usable, not just a checkbox, and many report comfortable long-haul towing with few mechanical headaches over the years. The tradeoff is typical for this price point, with some fit-and-finish details that reflect a budget-conscious build, so it rewards buyers who do a careful pre-delivery inspection. For couples who want a self-contained floorplan without the weight penalty of a larger trailer, the Apex 187RB is a well-proven option.
