The Dutchmen Kodiak Cub 196BH is built around a bunkhouse layout that also carves out space for an outdoor kitchen and a slide-out, which opens things up noticeably once you're parked. Owners regularly call out how easy it is to tow and set up, and the solar prep combined with a large freshwater tank gives the Kodiak Cub 196BH real utility away from hookups. RV Insider rates it a 4.2 out of 5 for livability and 4.1 for towing, and at least one owner has called it one of the best campers they've owned. Build quality scores run lower than those livability marks, so it rewards buyers who do a thorough PDI and address any fit-and-finish items before their first trip.
