Having the kitchen island as a centerpiece between the front living area and rear bedroom gives the 28FDS a flow that most travel trailers this size can't match. It's a layout that actually invites hanging out rather than just passing through. The full GE kitchen suite with a glass rinser, pull-down faucet, and 3-burner gas range is more than you'd expect at this price point, and the mini camp kitchen with a Blackstone griddle out back means serious outdoor cooking without sacrificing counter space inside. A 6'9" interior height on tandem axles, 5/8" tongue-and-groove flooring, and a sealed underbelly with Darco wrap show Forest River put real thought into durability here. The JBL entertainment package, Maxxair vent fan with wall remote, and 16-color LED awning round out a feature list that punches well above the Aurora's entry-level price tag.
