Northwood has built a strong reputation for rugged, off-road-capable rigs, and the Desert Fox 27FS is a solid example of that philosophy applied to the toy hauler segment. RVTravel noted that Northwood "has done a great job" with this line and singled out the interior as a cut above what you typically find in toy haulers. Owners echo that sentiment, pointing to four-season capability and durability on rough roads as standout strengths. The 27FS also lands on short lists of the better cold-weather toy haulers, which says something meaningful for anyone who doesn't pack up when the temperatures drop.
