The Newmar Bay Star 3609 earns a loyal following largely because of its bath-and-a-half floorplan, a layout that's genuinely hard to find in a gas Class A and one owners consistently call out as a highlight of everyday living. Newmar builds the Bay Star 3609 on a Ford F-53 chassis with a 7.3L V-8, wrapped in a full-paint Masterpiece Finish with gelcoated fiberglass sidewalls and a one-piece molded fiberglass roof, so the build quality feels a step above typical gas coaches. Inside, the electrical package is notably well-equipped, with six 6V house batteries, a 2000W Victron inverter with CPAP prep, an automatic generator start, and a 10.1" multiplex monitor system that puts coach controls front and center. The Smart Level hydraulic leveling jacks with Bluetooth touchpad and the Ford Forward Collision Mitigation system with adaptive cruise round out a coach that's as well-considered on the road as it is in camp.
