The Winnebago Solis 36A makes a strong case that a van-based Class B can handle real travel, not just weekend trips. The Murphy+ bed folds away to free up a surprisingly flexible living space, while the 12V compressor-driven refrigerator/freezer keeps food cold without shore power. One owner documented three weeks on the road powering a fridge, phones, laptops, and a CPAP entirely on solar. The Ram ProMaster chassis with its 280-hp V6 and 9-speed automatic brings modern driver-assist tech including full-speed forward collision warning, crosswind assist, and pedestrian emergency braking, making the Solis 36A genuinely easy to drive for first-timers and seasoned van-lifers alike. The cassette toilet tucks neatly under the rear dinette seat, and thoughtful touches like the MOLLE panel galley storage, L-track cargo tie-down system, and fold-down exterior table show Winnebago sweated the details on usable space.
