The Forest River Cherokee 285LBS leans hard on interior finish for its price point, with solid cherry wood cabinet doors and drawer fronts, granite-look countertops, and a breakfast bar with bar stools giving the kitchen a more polished feel than you'd expect at this level. Skylights over the dinette and sofa brighten the slide-out living area, and the taller 5-foot-11-inch slide rooms keep things from feeling cramped. The kitchen is well-equipped with a three-burner high-output cooktop and oven, a double-door refrigerator, and a carousel microwave. Cherokee fifth wheels are known for offering a lot of features per dollar, and the 285LBS is a solid example of that, though owners consistently recommend staying on top of seals and fittings to keep it in good shape over time.
