Designed to deliver maximum comfort in a compact and maneuverable Class C motorhome, the used 2017 Coachmen Freelander 21RS combines a smart slide out floorplan with impressive sleeping capacity, a residential queen bed and extensive storage. Measuring approximately 24 feet depending on chassis configuration, the 21RS is an excellent choice for couples, families and travelers who want a fully equipped motorhome without moving into a larger coach.

One of the standout features of the 21RS is its 60 x 80 inch walk around residential queen bed. Unlike many Class C motorhomes in this size range that use a corner bed, the Freelander provides easier access around the sleeping area along with two large bedroom windows and a large double door wardrobe. The slide out expands the main living area and incorporates Coachmen's versatile 42 x 77 inch J Lounge with an 18 inch extension. This multi use seating area functions as a sofa and dining space while also converting to provide additional sleeping accommodations when needed. Above the cab is an exceptionally large 57 x 95 inch bunk, giving children or guests their own dedicated sleeping area without requiring the main bed to be converted each night. Combined with the rear queen bed and convertible lounge, the Freelander provides impressive sleeping flexibility for a motorhome with such a manageable footprint. The kitchen is efficiently arranged with a three burner cooktop with oven, microwave, refrigerator, sink and surrounding cabinet storage. A pantry provides additional room for food and travel supplies, while the compact galley design maintains an open walkway through the coach. The bathroom provides the conveniences needed for extended travel, including a shower with privacy glass door, toilet, vanity and storage. Coachmen also incorporated LED lighting throughout the interior along with durable flooring and residential style cabinetry. Another major advantage of the 21RS is its storage capability. Coachmen's specifications list approximately 67 cubic feet of exterior storage, including a large rear warehouse style storage compartment with an oversized access door. This gives owners valuable room for chairs, camping equipment, tools and other travel essentials. The 2017 Freelander 21RS was available on both Ford E350 and Chevrolet 4500 chassis configurations. Ford versions use the 6.8 liter Triton V10 rated at 305 horsepower and 420 lb ft of torque, while Chevrolet versions use the 6.0 liter V8 rated at 341 horsepower in Coachmen's 2017 specifications. Because both versions were produced, the chassis on this particular motorhome should be verified before publishing its engine specifications. Factory equipment included a 4.0 kW Onan gasoline generator, 30 amp electrical service, 13,500 BTU roof air conditioner, 20,000 BTU furnace, power patio awning, backup monitor and a 5,000 pound hitch. For buyers searching for a used Class C that combines compact dimensions, a walk around queen bed, large cab over bunk, slide out and substantial exterior storage, the used 2017 Coachmen Freelander 21RS offers an excellent combination of versatility, comfort and value.
