The Thor Motor Coach Sanctuary 19M is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 AWD chassis, which owners consistently praise for confident handling, easy maneuverability, and fuel economy in the 18–23 mpg range. The off-grid credentials are legitimately impressive for a van this size, pairing a 460 Ah lithium battery bank with a 3,000-watt pure sine inverter, 200 watts of rooftop solar, a secondary alternator, and holding tanks with heat pads for cold-weather camping. Day-to-day comfort comes from thoughtful details like factory leather swivel captain's chairs, a Thule power patio awning with integrated LED lighting, a full enclosed wet bath with shower, and Starlink prep for staying connected in the backcountry. The Thule bike rack on the rear door and off-road tires with black rims round out an adventure-focused package that genuinely lives up to the van-life aesthetic.
