The 38RE is built like a high-end apartment on wheels, with hardwood cabinetry, Corian countertops in both the kitchen and bath, an induction cooktop, and an 18 cu. ft. French door refrigerator. Details that set it apart from most fifth wheels in this class. The bedroom gets its own 39" TV and a fireplace heater, while the Truma Aqua-Go on-demand hot water system and Dyson cordless vac speak to how seriously Forest River treated the livability side of this build. Insulation is a genuine strong suit: R-16 in the sidewalls (including slides) and R-38 in the roof and floor, backed by 12V heated tank pads and a fully enclosed underbelly for cold-weather confidence. The automatic 6-point hydraulic leveling, hydraulic slide-outs, and drop-frame basement storage round out a floor plan clearly designed for extended or full-time living rather than the occasional weekend trip.
Many factors play into a unit's listing price and what you should pay. This guide provides a ballpark estimate, but it does not factor in your exact scenario or how different listings are equipped.
