However, that doesn’t mean a washer and dryer combo couldn’t be installed in an outdoor kitchen area with creative customization. RV washers and dryers come in several options:

  • Stackable washer/dryer - used when space is at a premium

  • Side-by-side units - sometimes used to balance out a large closet

  • All-in-one washer/dryer combo unit - these take longer to run a full cycle

  • Washer with a condenser dryer (also known as a ventless unit) - no vent required because the water is condensed through various channels, like the drain

Important to note: RVs that offer washer/dryer hookups come with one of the above configurations. If the type of washer/dryer is important to you, be sure to look closely at the floor plans to see what will work in the given floor plan.

This answer depends on what kind of unit will be purchased. Remember that a stackable or side-by-side washer and dryer are sold separately, while a combo is only one unit. On the other hand, a stackable or side-by-side washer can gravitate upward towards $2,000, with all-in-one RV washers and dryer combos somewhere in the middle. Budget, space, and lifestyle are factors that need to be considered in the cost.
