The Forest River Berkshire 38RB is built around a Cummins ISB 6.7L turbo diesel pushing 340 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, backed by an Allison MH-2500 6-speed automatic, Neway air suspension front and rear, and Sachs custom-tuned shocks, a drivetrain combination that owners consistently call out for confident, composed road manners. The Freightliner XC raised rail chassis brings full air ABS brakes with a variable exhaust brake, a 100-gallon dual-fill fuel tank, and a 5,000-lb tow rating for serious trip flexibility. Inside, the single full-bath layout earns frequent praise for its roominess, and the Berkshire 38RB can be optioned with an electric fireplace, stackable washer/dryer, and a 9 cu. ft. Dometic refrigerator with ice maker. Construction details like vacuum bonded sidewalls, a gel-coated fiberglass skin, full-body paint, and Ziebart undercoating round out a package that sits comfortably at the upper end of Forest River's diesel Class A lineup without crossing into luxury-brand pricing.
