Sell or trade
Avoid trading in your old RV if possible!

Warning: This is where dealers can really take advantage of you. It's usually not a great deal to trade in an RV to a dealership. They use values from NADA Guides, but typically offer less than your RV is worth.
If you're set on trading in your old RV, it's worth getting a quote from a few different dealers to make sure you're getting a fair price. To better understand the factors that impact the value of your RV, read this handy guide by RVezy.
What we recommend
It's highly recommended to sell your RV privately if you can. You'll likely get more money for it, and you can use that money as a down payment on your new RV.
Another option is to sell it to a used RV buying service like RV Select who deals exclusively in purchasing used RVs. Because they deal in volume, they can offer a higher price than a dealer would. (Tell them RV Envy sent you!)
