The 40D makes a strong case for itself right out of the gate with a Cummins ISL 380HP turbo diesel, Allison 6-speed transmission, and Freightliner XCR raised-rail chassis. The kind of hardware that gives this coach genuinely confident highway manners. The bunk-over-cab layout is a smart use of space, and a bath and a half means the rear bath stays a private retreat while guests aren't fighting for mirror time. Outdoor entertainment and a Carefree dual-pitch patio awning with wind sensor make the exterior livable, and inside, the standard package already includes a 10kW Onan diesel generator, 200W solar, a pure sine inverter, six deep-cycle house batteries, and Multiplex app control. Features that often cost extra on competing coaches. Professional reviewers have called out the organized cockpit and abundant storage as genuine standouts, and owners who've put real miles on it report it holds up well for extended travel.
